It fires a wide burst of 40 yellow pellets, similar to the ship version.

Strategy and Setup


Burst Ray Turrets are incredibly efficient at point-blank range, weighing less than the Tachyon Beam Turret yet dealing even more damage. They are sure to decimate any blitz fleet that comes too close.


Burst Ray Turrets are ineffective against farther targets due to the large spread, they will only take a fraction of the potential damage. Therefore, equipping Focused Apertures with this weapon is a huge waste of mass.

Burst Ray Turrets have extremely short range, making them absolutely powerless against sniper fleets.
